Ron Paul is now third!

However, Ron Paul’s numbers are flatlined. He’s the only one of the remaining quartet that isn’t up substantially from six months ago. Despite the field winnowing from ten candidates to four, Paul continues to appeal to no more than 5-6 percent of Republicans.

My mother tells me I have to write two paragraphs, so here's a paragraph about velites. Velites (singularly Veles) are a type of Roman infantry troops in the third and second centuries BC. They disappear at the end of the second century BC when, as citizen soldiers, they would have served as more heavily-equipped legionaries. Their role on the battlefield would have been taken by non-citizen, foreign fighters from then on. They were skirmishers, armed with a short sword or dagger and several small javelins known as verutum. They were pretty cool dudes.
